If there was ever a movie that inspired capitalism, Sex and the City would take the cake. Drama, acting, and plot aside, I went to see this movie to witness the hit/miss greatness of Patricia Field. I cast aside the reality that on these women’s salaries this fashion is absolutely impossible, and at times ridiculous, but I could not stop watching. In fact, I felt like I was watching a magazine for the 2 1/2 hours Carrie and the “girls” were on screen.
The only spoilers you’ll find here are fashion ones. Can you say belts? There are about 1 million spotted in this film! I’ve never seen such decorated waists. I don’t think it is possible to have more belts that shoes, but it sure appeared that way.
Since Carrie is master of la chaussure, here are three that will you give you her look, two actually from the film. And lets not neglect that Eiffel Tower purse.

I am GLAD someone finally said it! There is no way that women with these salaries can afford any of this stuff… simply Crass! Or how carrie was to redesign a whole apartment with her book advance? Well her last book got her 15 grand. Her TV alone looked like it would cost her that much.
omg i loved this movie soo much!!!!!! and it is true- no one can really afford all this stuff- thats why you need to find stuff that looks similar but for cheaper
I just bought a blouse from shopgoldyn.com that looks very much like something carrie would wear- atleast i like to think so
