I’ve seen the future at the Echo Park Time Travel Mart. I drank robot milk, wore some chainmail and stuck a leech under my arm. Living in the past and wanting to create a better future? Then you must visit this amazing store. This shop has every thing you could ever desire, such as this perfect yellow Ricky Martin cap for only $149.99. You could also pick up your very own Victorian iPod, dinosaur eggs, or choose from a variety of mustaches to wear. Perfection.
How did I come across the world’s most innovative store? I have been looking for volunteer opportunities and a very cool 10th grader name Ana referred me here. The space which is run by the non-profit 826LA offers tutoring for kids ages 6 – 18, specializing in their creative and expository writing skills. You can even find books written by the students who are tutored there. Store in the front, kids in the back, creativity everywhere. I look forward to the adventure that awaits me.
