While perusing the counter at the Pleasure Chest last weekend, I spotted Dita Von Teese’s book Burlesque and the Art of the Teese/Fetish and the Art of the Teese and enjoyed flipping every page with indescribable enthusiasm. The book was published a few years ago but I never took the opportunity to really discover its brilliance. A big thanks to Emma in the Art Department at the Central Library for helping me track down this book at the South Pasadena Library!
These particular photos grabbed me instantly. Dita looks phenomenal donning this corset by Jean Paul Gaultier couture. I won’t even guess the price tag, but it undoubtedly a piece of exquisite art. Dita just finished a stint at the Crazy Horse in Vegas. I wish I could’ve gone…
