Beautiful edible display by The Farm of Beverly Hills
Last night I was in attendance at Savor Los Angeles, presented by Parallel Lines, which offered food pairings from local L.A. restaurants and vendors. I was pleased to be invited to this event not only because I was so sorry to have missed the last one but I also happened to be one of the vendors in the pop up shop. Plus, anything that promises delicious food and good company sounds like my idea of a good time.
It was a relaxed evening with a very chill crowd, and even though I had difficulty trying to take photos while also eating the small bites, I managed to take a few snaps of what I enjoyed the most.

Starry Kitchen was first introduced to me by my friend Candice who used to pick up food from their illegal (awesome) operation set up in their apartment. Now they’ve gone legit but the taste has remained just as good. The pandan flan (pictured left) was definitely one of the culinary highlights of the evening. Pandan is a tropical fruit found in Southeast Asia and last night was the first time I had ever tried it. The flan was incredible!
Did someone say fudge macarons (pictured right)? Thank you auntie früf’s aahsome füdge for making this delightful treat.

Upon check in I was greeted by the delightful people of Veev, who I have come to know from their participation at various food events around town. My friends know that I am not much of a drinker, but seriously, this Acai spirit is incredibly delicious and smooth. I have to give Veev props for crafting such refreshing drinks. I drank a couple of cocktails to see how the alcohol could be creatively mixed. One drink was combined with lemonade and fresh raspberries, the other, lime, cucumber and mint; both were light, crisp and tasty. Next time I am in the market to buy some booze, this is at the top of my list.

Here is just a little peak of my things in the pop up shop. Hopefully soon you’ll be seeing more of my treats in an online store and shop near you! Details to come…
Dude… I love pandan! Back at home (Philippines) its very common to put one or two pandan leaves in the rice cooker to give the rice an aromatic smell.
And wow! Online store? You’re really going global with your curds! Congrats so happy for you… biznez is booming
Yum, pandan infused rice sounds delicious!
