This past weekend I made it out to the hush-hush Havaianas midnight pool party thanks to an invite from my friend/fellow blogger Geri of Because I’m Addicted. The night was packed with loud music, trips to the open bar, dance moves with new friends and the coolest flip book making booth.
Aimee of Song of Style and I ran into each other at the party and we quickly made a dash for the booth. Click the video to watch the magic. AND since I discovered Aimee is totally thug life – we were both belting out Tupac – I thought this song would be apropos.

Last week launched issue #7 of Style Sample Magazine, in which I was a featured writer. I was thrilled when asked to contribute an article on an up-and-coming fashion photographer. My piece features the work of Shae Acopian Detar from Everything Style, a fresh looking blog that has an amazing collection of vintage on display.
What a breath of fresh air to have blogger Shini Park of Park and Cube on the cover. I always enjoy reading a fashion blog void of pretension and faux aesthetic. She’s so cute too! You won’t find an agape model mouth pose on that blog for sure and that’s why I love it.
Lastly, when reading about my girl Geri (of Because I’m Addicted) being featured in Women’s Wear Daily I saw that Style Sample Magazine was also listed as one of their chosen “Visionary Fashion Websites.” Major props to Tamia, its creator!

I’m kinda zonked right now from a hilarious and fun filled evening but this photo was too good to not share. And it was the only one I took the whole evening! Karla, Geri, and I are demonstrating some signature blogger facial expressions: the laugh, the pout, and the smirk.
A big thank you to Lucrecia of Fashion is Poison who provided the vintage clothing and a cool makeup artist on set. Shout out to Kat at Urban Decay. What a treat to meet and hang out with the L.A. fashion bloggers. Look forward to seeing you all again. I’ll be adding you to my blogroll, no doubt.
