My closest friends are all bonkers. The most amazing women in the world are bonkers. I too am a bit bonkers.
Thank goodness Lula has once again saluted those who are not only beautiful, but bonkers as well. These scans come from the latest issue of Lula magazine featured under the title “A Perfect Mess.” Norwegian illustrators Jonas Lofgren/Bildmekanik bring a twist to this season’s best spring looks by drawing our favorite women into our favorite designers. This is why Lula is absolutely the best magazine on the rack. They take a reader’s dreams and put it on paper.

Wouldn’t you D-I-E to live in a CHANEL apartment? In correspondence with the launch of Chanel No. 5 Eau première, Karl Lagerfeld hired window and interior designer Jean-Marc Gady to create an entire Chanel home within the confines of a Parisian apartment. In this dream decor you could find illuminated test sprays, iconographic Chanel photography, and a perfume fountain engulfing the whole space with its scent. I have never cared for Chanel No. 5 – a bit too old smelling – but I’d move into this space any day. Paris, here I come.

The Fashion Intel loves witches [if you already hadn't noticed], both good and bad, so I was so excited to see Hermione in the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar. To be honest, I was simply excited to see Emma Watson! I’ve never read any of the Harry Potter books, and probably have only seen two of the films, but I love that there is a fashionable red headed witch in that series.
Emma Watson has proven herself to be one of the youngest fashion plates out there. Born in 1990, she has impressed magazines both in the U.S. and across the pond. She looks best when she expresses her affinity for Chanel, lace, and sporting duds from the best U.K. designers. Considering that tomorrow marks London Fashion Week’s denouement, it is apropos to celebrate these fabulous designers with the girl who has been seated at their runways.
Editor’s Note: I realized that it might be a gaffe to call sweet Hermione a witch, so for those true Harry Potter fans, would it be more appropriate to call her a wizard?

Fashion Intel here,
I didn’t make it to the Hamptons this year, much less ride the Jitney. I still cannot believe I lived on Long Island for a year (how awful). This Fall I have been most excited about the return of one of my favorite shows EVER, Gossip Girl. Summer didn’t feel quite over as Blair, Serena, Chuck, et al. took us along for a ride around the Hamptons – on a stylish bike no less. This season will undoubtedly fulfill our fashion cravings and inspire new trends abound. You can always count on the Fashion Intel to bring you the best Gossip Girl fashion moments.
- “eggshell [color] gives me a migrane.” – Jenny’s Boss
- Blair’s highlights = nolikes!
- Boys in summer sweaters are absolutely adorable. Chuck in schooners, V-Neck for the Lord.
- Do we spot a Alexis Bittar lucite bangle on Blair? Of course we do.
- Prints. Prints. Prints. Love the Milly.
- Gosh Serena, you get all the purses we want. Chanel, sigh.
- My mother is buying me a bike for my birthday, have you got yours yet? Blair does.
- Can we finally say this – BLAKE LIVELY HAS FAKE BOOBS!
- Remember browsing Bergdorf’s and contemplating the scalloped MBMJ dress? Me too, and now it is sold out.
- Chuck, our dear lovely, we love your Balenciagaesque blazer. Marry me?

I’ve been dying to write this post since I read the great news about getting free beauty products! This fabulous news comes through to Fashion Intel via The Cut, my favorite fashion blog ever. Over there they have explained that:
“Department stores like Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Filene’s, Lord & Taylor, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue cheated consumers by making a pact that they’d only sell cosmetic products at the suggested retail price.”
Apparently this is against the law -calling all fashionable lawyers – and we will soon be reaping the benefits of these price fixers. Come 2009, you and I will be hitting the counter for our much deserved free goods. AND I’ll take some samples while I am at it, so don’t be stingy!
Just go to http://www.cosmeticssettlement.com/ and sign up to be one of the chosen people who receive $25 worth of free makeup.

We’ve had a lot of inquires about the clothes seen in the upcoming Get Smart, starring Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell. Needless to say we are huge Hathaway fans (-Havoc) and we cannot wait to see what she’ll be wearing in the role of AGENT 99. From what we have heard, there is going to be lots of CHANEL and mod looks inspired by the original series. Costumer designer Deborah Scott says Agent 99 needed to be dressed in “serious and strong lines” so that her strength exuded from her clothes as well . Looking good appears to be as crucial as saving the world in this film.
If you want to emulate this dangerously chic look, all you need is a leather jacket, white trench, and Chanel bag – gun optional.
Our picks: Tory Burch/Lynn Leather Jacket, Chanel/Umbrella, Purse, Pins, Gloves, and Heels, White Milly Trench
LABELS: Agent 99, Anne Hathaway, Chanel, Fashion, Get Smart, Get Smart Fashion, Milly, Steve Carell

We’ve had BLACK SATIN. We’ve had BLUE SATIN. Can you say Barneys’ waiting list? But now L.A. has its very own Chanel Sunrise. This May, L.A. can look forward to another CHANEL boutique gracing its lovely streets and even better are the four capsule collection nail polishes designed specifically for us LAists. (I know Angeleno is correct, but I like the prior better).
Chanel’s new global makeup director Peter Philips has graced us with these limited pop art pieces in correspondence with the grand opening and we already have our eye on L.A. Sunrise. Also featured are L.A. Sunset, Melrose, and Rodeo Drive. What, no downtown? Ok, I guess we haven’t made it that far.
Priced at $25 each, any Chanel enthusiast can have this luxury. For you that can’t make it to the store’s opening in May, you can enjoy these polishes online at CHANEL.com starting in June. These paints will help you forget what awful humidity/heat your are facing in NYC, Florida, or Chicago this summer, and whisk you away to fabulous Los Angeles.
