Last night The Rachel Zoe Project reminded me of how much I love jewelry and that I really need to organize my collection. I don’t have thousands of pieces like dear Rachel but I anticipate that I will one day, so I might as well get Virgo organized before it is too late. Oh, I am a Virgo – won’t be too hard!
Yesterday I received a box in the mail with the much anticipated House of Harlow Aztec skinny bangle. Another black and gold bracelet to add to my ever growing stack. Here are a few of my favorites.

Picked up this bracelet over the weekend and absolutely love it. As soon as I saw it hanging on the display I ran over and said “I’ll take that!” Even more fun is the noise it constantly makes when I’m moving around; you always know when I am coming around the corner. Typing is a bit hard, but I’ll make the sacrifice for something so amazing.

This is one of the most amazing pieces of vintage jewelry I have ever acquired. I had mentioned this brooch earlier this week when describing my adventures in San Francisco. It is made of a hand-carved piece of wood and what I am guessing is fox fur. On the back, there is an carved emblem which represents the indigenous Alaskan people who created this masterpiece.
The craftsmanship is nothing short of impressive and I wish we could develop more fair-trade organizations that could support indigenous communities who made beautiful authentic jewelry as I was so lucky to come across.

Claire Daines was one of the few girls who made teenage angst feel real in the nineties. Over the past 10 years we haven’t seen much of her and it makes us sad because red-heads are rare in Hollywood and so are actresses with depth.
What a pleasant surprise to open the new issue of ELLE DECOR and see Claire looking back at me, looking beautiful in her fabulous gold Gucci jewels. She’s been found and we don’t want to lose her again!

It is no secret to those that know me that I absolutely love jewelry, especially if it is gaudy gold. Think Rachel Zoe. One of my favorite designers is Alexis Bittar, who not only has some of the best crafted lucite but has a fascinating history of collecting and selling vintage jewelry as a young man. That’s right, Alexis is a man.
I was excited to hear that Alexis Bittar has released jewelry under the title “From the Archive” which encompasses many of his most stand out pieces over the past few years. My favorite piece are the earrings pictured above which have been re-released in a white. If you are a true collector check out the rest over at AlexisBittar.com

Philip Crangi + his anvil = my true love.
I have shown some love for jeweler-du-jour Philip Crangi in the past here on Fashion INTEL, and my heart melted knowing that I would be thousands of miles away from his in-store appearance at Barneys New York (Madison Avenue) this week. To all my NYC fashionistas and jewelry aficionados, please stop by 7.09 from 6-8pm and tell dear Phil how handsome I think he is!
Me aside, simply stop by to have your monogram personally stamped on a bangle by Crangi himself. Read more about this special event over on Simon Doonan’s Barneys Babble.
