Films. Watching and critiquing them is one of my favorite things to do and I take it very seriously. If you know me, I’m sure you would agree. If we’re not familiar yet, let me just fill you in – I will not recommend a bad movie to you. I just won’t. I consider my film taste only of the superior level but can also laugh out loud when I tell you I’ve seen You, Me, and Dupree one too many times. At least I know it is bad.
I’ve seen 4 films in the past couple of weeks and have seen the trailer for Tom Ford’s A Single Man at least twice. Usually if I’m impressed with merely a clip of a film then I know I’m in for something good. Do I even need to tell you it stars Julianne Moore? I think not. It opens in selects theaters on December 11 and I can promise you I’ll be seeing it.
Don’t miss Tom Ford’s directorial debut. I think his talents reach far beyond the world of fashion.

To most fashionistas, May 30th marks only one thing – the movie premier of Sex and the City. I am excited as the rest of you to see what Pat Field has conjured up for those lovely ladies, but I am equally excited to see how strong the fashion in Savage Grace will be. Watching the trailer puts my suspicions of fashion brilliance to rest because costume designer Gabriela Salaverri has chosen to dress Julianne Moore in some remarkable pieces. Emilio Pucci? Yes, please. Bakelite jewelry? Check!
Julianne Moore is not to be missed as Barbara Baekeland. While we can enjoy Carrie and the ladies of SATC, we can also indulge in a bit of reality watching the life of a fabulously accessorized jet setter become manically depressed. That is a film definitely for the fashion intelligentsia.
