Last Thursday was Forever 21′s launch party for their very first designer collaboration, with the amazing Brian Lichtenberg. I had the pleasure of being hired on for this event and absolutely loved working with Forever 21. I’d like to thank Dawn, of the blog a/muse for this great opportunity. I hope you all had as much fun as I did – thanks for coming out!
about the collaboration
Eclectic LA-based designer Brian Lichtenberg is known for his unique cutouts, geometric details, fashion forward designs and celebrity clientele the likes of Lady Gaga (he designed the caution tape look for her “Telephone” video), Beyoncè, the Kardashians and M.I.A. His namesake clothing line is featured in high-fashion magazines, music videos and artist performances around the globe, and now he’s bringing his avant-garde aesthetic to Forever 21. The collection of t-shirts and tanks will retail at $14.80 for women’s styles and $14.90 for men’s. See the collection here.

I’m really pooped from last night’s Forever 21 x Brian Lichtenberg launch party, so full coverage won’t hit the blog until later today/tomorrow. All I can say right now is that is was great seeing all of my friends, meeting really cool people, dancing like a goof, and chatting with almost every L.A. fashion blogger. There were a ton of smart, well dressed ladies at the event last night, and I think I had to a chance to say hi to every single one. I LOVED working for Forever 21 on this, I had a BLAST. I hope you had fun!

Last Thursday I had the pleasure to attend Refinery 29′s West Coast launch and East/West tag sale. All the fashion bloggers were out and I had a blast shopping the sale, chomping on Umami scallop burgers and getting my dance and drink on with friends.
Though I didn’t leave with that Vena Cava fur vest, I saw lots of unique pieces for sale and was happy that at least Alicia of Instant Vintage (3rd photo) left with an amazing silk shirt from Sunshine and Shade. If Space 15 Twenty still has those amazing shorts that Asael is holding up for me, I have to return to buy those.
Can I just mention the amazing people I got to talk with that night? I’d like to thank the lovely Crystal Carroll (last photo) who is part of the Urban Outfitters PR team for helping put on an amazing event. She’s such a stunner! Finally after all the blog love and twitter conversations, I had the chance to meet Tasha of Mondette. She’s just as sweet as I’d thought she’d be with a brain full of ideas. (I’m definitely considering your blog advice Tasha!) I’d also like to give a shout out to Sam of Sosupersam who I spent a decent part of my evening talking food with; I look forward to our culinary adventures!
Here’s to Kate Mulling, new editor of Renfinery 29 L.A. and the amazing site I seek out the latest fashion news. They’re smart, funny and who wouldn’t want to be a part of that team?

Last week I joined a couple bloggers for a delicious dinner over at Bottega Louie in downtown L.A. The night turned out to be nothing but good times and lots of laughing. What fun! There’s always anticipation when meeting new people, especially when you’ve been reading their blog and have formed ideas of how you think they’ll be. It is such an amazing feeling when the people you meet are just as amazing in person as they are online, not to mention also warm and friendly. For reals, all of these 3 women are legit.
If you like Ru Paul, delicious food, killer shoes and have a positive attitude, then you could definitely hang with this crowd. Please do yourself a favor and get to know them if you haven’t already.

I am back from my sister’s wedding weekend in Laguna Beach and I am zonked. Being Maid-of-Honor is completely exhausting but totally worth it! We had a wonderful time and I am ready to get back to all my projects I’ve been working on: 1) re-designing my site 2) serious running 3) my graduation. But first I must prepare for L.A. Blogger Shop Day at Space 15 Twenty.
Please come shop my closet this weekend! I’ll be there as well as some other great L.A. girls like Fashion is Poison, Taghrid and That’s Chic. I’ll post some items this week that so you can get a first peek at the goods. I’ll be selling some Alex+Chloe, Alexis Bittar, vintage YSL and many other amazing gems!
