PHOTOBOOTH

photobooth

My boyfriend and I have taken many photobooth photos over the past 5.5 years and it was so much fun going through them recently.  From 2004  – 2009, whoa.  I really love the one with the bug-eye glasses and large bead necklace because I know I was totally inspired by the Zoebots of 06/07.  Top 3 are in my former favorite booth, The Standard Downtown.  Then Wasteland San Francisco, and Ace Hotel Palm Springs.  Why doesn’t my hair look that straight anymore? Sheesh.

I’m currently working on the new Fashion Intel site which I am excited to show you in the coming week.  There is going to be so many great changes!  Keep reading.

xoxo
Natalie

Bedknobs & Broomsticks

The black cat is out of the bag – the Fashion Intel loves witches and all things witchery.  We had thousands of hits for Harry Potter’s Hermione in Harper’s Bazaar [Emma Watson], so apparently the rest of you like witches too!  What better time of the year to celebrate pointy hats, black dresses, and ultra-designed tights?  Even better when they are designed by Luella Bartley.

It is now October, one of my favorite months of the year, so count on more Halloween treats and maybe some tricks.  For this Friday, enjoy this lovely spread from the latest issue of Lula Magazine.

Foreva – NSFW

Eva Mendes never struck me as the best actress or frankly that well dressed, but she has definitely sparked my fancy with this fabulous fashion/nude spread for Vogue Italia. Steven Meisel shot this intriguing 20 plus technicolor dream.

If Hollywood could start writing and casting better Latina roles I could possibly see Eva’s true acting chops – or better yet, more dimensional roles that any actress would be interested in playing regardless of ethnicity. If I see one more film where Eva has to portray the exotified “spicy Latina” sidekick, I think I am going to vomit.

Enjoy these scans of wigs and silk stockings, but they’re NSFW so you might want to take a peek at home. Unless your boss likes Eva Mendes re-imagined as a Pedro Almodóvar character from the 50s.
